mods please move to a different forum if it helps
1) I am currently rebuilding and testing aspell and its english dictionary
but more language packs are available
2) If you have used or want to use a spell checker application, pls reply here on what language you would prefer.
I can not confirm that they will be built but a list of potential spell check packs can be see here
http://mirror.optusnet.com.au/gnu/aspell/dict
Yes no updates since 2010 but don't hold that against me ;)
3) so far I am most keen to build German but I am not skilled in any lang except aussie and so any submission will be untested.
thanks for reading

Default lang is set by locale. If you need help with locale see
http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,7169.0.html
Summary: download and run getlocale.tcz and select your locale
Add created mylocale.tcz to your onboot.lst and edit your bootloader
to set your language and/or keyboard mappings
Consider changing the aspell dep for dictionary to your dictionary
Alternatively try
$ aspell --lang=es -c filename
If no errors exits without message. Otherwise shows wrong words in terminal.
Change-log: 2012/11/20 First Version
Current: 2012/11/20 version 1.11-2 built against TC 4.x
don't worry about the date....we live in the future in australia ;D

I am forever in your hands
wishes had run a spell check before posting (again)
-

Either have aspell.tcz in your onboot.lst and booted or load it now
tce-load -i aspell
if you have not changed your dep for aspell to your preferred dictionary, then load your locale dictionary as well pls
1) Create a text file called /home/tc/mine.txt
one word (new) per line
2) based on
http://wiki.zimbra.com/wiki/Adding_words_to_existing_aspell_dictionaries#Summary
3) create a script to embed your new word list call it mine-en.sh
#/bin/sh
sudo aspell --lang=en create master mine.rws < /home/tc/mine.txt
cp /usr/local/lib/aspell-0.60/en_US.multi /tmp
sudo echo 'add mine.rws' >> /tmp/en_US.multi
sudo cp -f /tmp/en_US.multi /usr/local/lib/aspell-0.60
Change en_US.multi to whatever your preferred language is.....string.multi
chmod +x mine-en.sh
sh mine-en.sh
Suggest use root powers to change dependency of aspell to adjust aspell-en to your preferred language
Finally test your new word list does not give any "hits" for being mis-spelt with
aspell -c mine.txt
good luck
2) by calling it mine-en.sh I am now comfortable with submitting a tcz with lots of mine-string.sh executables
should still be tiny-ish ......and that is a real word according my list!
my work is done here....just waiting for my mind to clear of beer

it is not essential to me but if I could create the package for the Italian would be great :)
-
updated list is
de / de-alt / es/ fi / fr / hu / it / pt_BR / ru
will submit once certain other packages have their faults or tests completed.
