my wifi.db contains passwords but no essids. each line of wifi.db contains a leading tab, a wireless password, a trailing tab, and a newline, but no essid. i'm using sudo wifi.sh to connect. used to work a few tiny cores ago.
many thanks,
webb
ps: not sure how to check which 4.6.x i'm using but i downloaded and installed the current one about two weeks ago so maybe 4.6.1?

Hi webb
ps: not sure how to check which 4.6.x i'm using but i downloaded and installed the current one about two weeks ago so maybe 4.6.1?
cat /usr/share/doc/tc/release.txt
-
Or "version"
-
thanks! version 4.6.2
-
Thanks again curaga and Rich for telling me of the existence of
/usr/share/doc/tc/release.txt
and
version
.
Does anyone have any thoughts on why wifi.sh is not saving essids?
If I manually insert the essid before the
\t[password]
into wifi.db, then I can connect normally with
sudo wifi.sh auto

Many thanks,
Webb

Hi webb
Try updating wifi.tcz, I believe this issue was found and fixed.
