It would be nice with a GetPepperFlash.tcz that installs the latest Chrome Pepper Flash for Chromium. It should download and extract the PepperFlash directory from the latest Chrome rpm and create pepperflash.tcz. With pepperflash.tcz loaded, Chromium could be started with (change to correct dir and version):
chromium-browser --ppapi-flash-path=/opt/google/chrome/PepperFlash/libpepflashplayer.so --ppapi-flash-version=11.3.31.323

It's kind of sad to see when a plugin version designed to work only with one very specific browser becomes an alternative to a generic version - even more so if the specific browser is much more bloated and less configurable in comparison to most others.
Something like "more choice of less choice"

Not disputing what you say in the least, that's why I said "more choice of less choice".
And uhmm... midori was not in my mind - actually if one would compare sizes of browsers+dependencies required, then midori may get away worse than chromium even...

I have been allowed to submit a get-pepper TCZ
pls read the info as it involves downloading large files and forces you onto chromium-browser.
I have also posted in the news area.
good luck

I hope that my mention of sizes in the info file shows I am not a completely ignorant person, and luckily
because its a get script, its just as well that you focused my mind on total sizes from an earlier discussion
all the best!

Thanks! ;D

Reviewing Reply #2 four months later, the situation sure looks much less static now than back then - not sure if there will be any implications regarding the Pepper API once at least Chromium and Opera will have switched to Blink as their rendering engine...

I am still trying to iron out my build of cups. Feel free to see if you can get the pepper API to work with Opera or not as you see fit.
I am not a fan of Opera so won't attempt it, nor have the skills
good luck
