Post by: netnomad on September 26, 2012, 01:17:50 PM
hi friends,

inotify-tools with libinotifytools0 is an easy to use tool to monitor file & directory changes.
it works on the kernel-level, very lean and clean.

Hi ioannis
You can test if  inotify-tools  works under 5.x yourself if you like. See here for instructions for fetching and installing an
extension:

Inotify-tools  has no dependencies. If you you find it works, it would be helpful if you report your results in this thread:

Hi ioannis
Thank you for testing and reporting. If you want to test out any other extensions, be mindful of their dependencies. You'll
want to use the ones from the 5.x repository if they are already there. If in doubt, start a thread in the  TCE Q&A Forum
and someone will help you.
