Hi
I booted just the TC as base no packages installed.
/dev/disk/by-path exists but not the other types, especially by-uuid
I am not an expert but having a look around I can find an udev rule that appears to allow it? /etc/udev/rules.d/60-persistent-storage.rules with contents snip of.....by-label/by-uuid. Does anyone think this rule is relevant and if so how do we get our hard drives to use UUID in base boot pls? Its been a long time since I played with TC so am getting dumber by the minute. For that reason I can not call it a bug as TC has feature of being small so may be by design?
If mods think there is some merit in raising as a possible bug feel free to move it or I shall post again, whatever is convenient.
thanks for reading

by-uuid requires the udev helper apps, which are not included as they aren't required for normal operation. See udev-extra for them.

hi
FWIW download and load now that pack.....shows /dev/disk/by-uuid
slight hijack, another poster was having trouble with inxi -plu and in cloud mode, uuids are not picked by inxi. Not sure why
so I just did a hard drive install ....grabbed your suggested package and inxi works correctly.
thanks heaps
