Title: Best Optical Character Recognition OCR for TC ???

I have an application that has to read
GIFs, JPGs, TIFs etc. to create TEXT,
and only found 1 post - barely - relating to
an OCR ap for TC.

Tried browsing extensions - doesn't seem like
there is the long descriptors that used to be there
(miss them) or the non-javascript version (miss that too),
alas...

...any OCR suggestions would be helpfu.

tesseract, ocrfeeder (I've packaged the second, unfortunately requires too much ram to work)
