Hello
http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=2325.0;attach=1286
it is a .Deb to .Tcz make-up tool.......it is in the forum
this has not been made into an APP in the APP store?.....
it seems such a good thing if it is simple to use.

thanks

Thanks cast-fish!
Just what I have been thinking of. I just don't know how to use the script correctly. Would appreciate a lot a brief explanation. Thanks beforehand!
Have fun helping out in the TC community,

Hello
do you know the current condition of this tool in June 2012.
It works with the latest tcl...?
It is very pleasing if it's functioning ok. The idea of putting some .deb tool into TCL can be really
handy indeed.
Wonder what it can convert?....can it convert a Linux gui based tool?
There have been many .deb's that interested me.
I see it is simple to use. i Will have to try it on something.

Hi cast-fish
I took a quick look at the script and it looks like it should still work for current versions of Tinycore.
Wonder what it can convert?....can it convert a Linux gui based tool?
It can convert a .deb to a .tcz, it doesn't matter what kind of application it is. It is still up to you to make sure any
dependencies are resolved, either by installing them via AppBrowser, or converting additional .deb packages
if they are not available in Tinycore.

Hello
Rich
there
Right. Well that makes sense to me. I t is a little like what i said about Wine...some apps
will require extra deps to function....but that is a different topic all together.
i t seems interesting that people "could" possibly use a .Deb application. Right.
There being so many /deb appls right .
Thankyou Rich.
all the best
Vi.

It would be great if a script can point to some large deb repository and download and convert apps and their dependecies!
-
That would increasingly cause breakage...

wow this seems like a great tool :D
