Title: [nfs] can't modify host.allow and hosts.deny ?
Post by: bigpcman on April 30, 2009, 09:38:14 PM
I must be missing something but it appears that host.allow and hosts.deny can't be modified. When I follow the links to the actual files and try to modify them using vi, the save ":w" errors out with read only message.

I'm guessing this has to do with nfs... (added to title thread)

Some things to consider:
- editing the files as root
- using the tcz?  Maybe these files should be moved to user.tar.gz.  Temporary fix: remove the files, copy them to ramdisk from /tmp/tcloop/<extension>

I will place the writable files in a user.tar.gz.
