Hi
If I boot with user=me what's the password?
-
Now there is a puzzle :P
-
What ever you set it to and save.
-
I haven't set any password
-
Does user 'me' exists?
-
If you have not set one, you don't have one.
This is pretty basic Linux stuff.
sudo passwd me
Then add the following to /opt/.filetool.lst
etc/passwd
etc/shadow
etc/group
etc/gpasswd
then
backup
-
the answer is tcuser as indicated now in the tc irc channel by user _html

can anyone please tell me if there
is there a way to disable the user= bootcode?
it seems to me that this isn't very secure.

You would think that anyone who has access to the boot codes has access to breach any security on the machine, no...?
-
I run off a usb drive.
I'd like to ensure (as much as possible) that if I lose my flash drive, that my data is not compromised.
And yes, big brother has been with us for a while.
He's only getting bigger.

Hi solorin
Then encrypt the contents of your drive, and please don't hijack jls_legalizes thread.

Apologies for hijacking your thread, jls_legalize.
