Is there a way to get the entire tce repo downloaded to either dvd or partition for offline installation on a different machine?

wget, but please use a mirror other than ibiblio. It's some 2-3gb of extensions, if you only get the binaries.

I have used wget before, but how do i download all the extensions at once with it.  Don't worry i will use another mirror

Try clicking on the Search button that is to the right of the Help button. Set  By User  to  beerstein  and enter
download repo  in the search field.

Thank you, worked like a charm using wget, and i read a bit of rsync and might learn how to use it so my copy stays up-to-date.

So I left my computer running for a night downloading the repo and it was not even close to being done by morning, what is going on?

HI: It takes very very long!
Just make an estimate - find out the time how long it takes to download 100 MB.
As far as can I remember the whole repo is about 3.3 GB  Now you have it -

you must also consider that there are many small files, this increases the long download time (unless there is a way to download multi parts with wget)
