Post by: avirup on February 01, 2012, 04:41:25 AM
I used the core2usb program to install tiny core in a 4GB usb drive. However when i try to boot it says

ERROR: NO CONFIGURATION FILE FOUND
NO DEFAULT OR UI CONFIGURATION DIRECTIVE FOUND!
boot:

and whenever i type 'something' at the boot prompt, it says
COULD NOT FIND KERNEL IMAGE: 'something'

Please provide details.

1) Which core2usb.exe version used?
2) Which ISO you have instaleld?
3) How is your USb stick partitioned and formatted?
4) Which directories are installed on the stick which files there are?

That looks like a classic,  thinking the USB will get partitioned in the process.

Try http://pbatard.github.com/rufus/ (http://pbatard.github.com/rufus/)  to partition only before core2usb format's and installs
