Hello!
I just installed Tiny CorePlus-current.iso 67.1 MB.
Deems really really nice!!
But I do not seems to get any network connection to work.
I have tried booth cable and wireless.
The wireless says "no wifi device" even though the USB-wifi-adapter is lit up.
When I start a terminal and test ping it says "bad adress".
What do you think guys, have I miss something?
Best regards
Fredrik

Some wired connections require a firmware extension to be loaded to work, what hardware do you have?
There is a wifi extension to setup wireless and make a connection, what hardware do you have?

Hello!
My hardware for cable is a D-Link I think it is a PCI-slot, how ever it worked fine with Puppy and DSL.
When I check ifconfig I get that eth0 is UP and my router has give it an ip-adress.
But when I try the app-browser and try to connect I get Network error.
I just unplugged my USB-wifi-adapter ZyXEL NWD-270N Wireless N-lite since the wifi-tool did not find it.
When plugged in both hardware do are active.
Right now I struggling with the cable-connection.
If you got any idea please let me know.
Best regards
Fredrik

Hi fredand44
Here is a link to a writeup by maro that provides a step by step check for network setup:

Hello!
Thanks for that checklist!
I think all vent well until letter "i".
There is something strange with the url "opera10.tzc", see terminal message
I also got the same text in frame title in the app browser:
See image at:

I think this happen when I followed the opera flash install at:

What do you think guys?
Perhaps a new install and try again with opera and flash?
Best regards
Fredrik

What is the result if you run: cat /opt/tcemirror
My guess is you've somehow managed to screw up your mirror setting, where the default value stored in said file is: http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/ (http://distro.ibiblio.org/tinycorelinux/)

Hello!
Thanks for all help!
I managed to update the /opt/tcemirror with "sudo vi" to the address you said.
Now I was able to install Opera!
There seems to be a problem with flash but I get back to you in an other thread if I get stuck!
Best regards
Fredrik
