Title: Recognition of many authors for a Extension
Post by: remus on January 04, 2012, 07:57:56 AM
Hi all,

I'm putting together the commoncpp2 extension, and notice that its AUTHORS file credits many contributors to the source.

Should I credit them all in the commoncpp2.tcz.info file ?

Hi remus
I've seen some extensions have multiple authors listed, so I would say yes.

Hi remus
I probably should have ask how many is many? If the list seems excessively long, it might be
acceptable to list the primary authors, and include the remaining contributors in a separate file,
Credits.txt, for example, and mention that in the info file. Maybe one of the administrators could
weigh in with an opinion.

Thanks for your input Rich,

The AUTHORS file in the original source lists a LOT of contributors, I also found a much shorter list of main contributors and original API authors here: http://www.t2-project.org/packages/commonc++.html (http://www.t2-project.org/packages/commonc++.html) So I've used those 2 names in my info file.

Administrators are welcome to request the more detailed list in a credit.txt file, and I will resubmit the extension.
