Title: Extended or Dual Display - Dell Latitude D410
Post by: shempshere on December 31, 2011, 12:54:32 PM
I have a Dell Latitude D410 that I have running the most recent version of Tiny Core 4.2 (actually Core Plus with the Fluxbox Window Manager).  It is running fantastic and is the perfect match for this aging hardware.

One thing that I would like to be able to do is to connect an external monitor / display but am not sure which extension is required to all for either an extended or dual display capability.  The graphics are a Intel GMA (Graphics Media Accelerator) 900 Dynamic Video Memory Technology 3.0 processor / capability.

Thanks in advance for any assistance or recommendations.

You should be able to do this with Xorg-7.6 and an appropriate xorg.conf

Thanks for the suggestion.

I have added X.org 7.6 but am not sure how to configure it.

It shows at being loaded at boot but not sure what to do from there.

Thanks.

then it's a matter of googling on your machine/graphics hardware, dual display and xorg.conf to find out how others did it  :)
