Hey guys!I have a problem using ZSNES.ZSNES fails to configure gamepad.I have brought 3 game pads, all these are working in windows but not in tinycore. Why?
-
What kind of pads? Is the input-joystick- extension loaded? Dmesg?
-
Sony game pads. Can you give me name of extension you are talking about.
-
Hi Dikshant
I think curaga may be referring to input-joystick-2.6.33.3-tinycore.tcz
-
Thank you RICH,but, still directional keys are not working in all three game pads
-
Hi Dikshant
Check the output of dmesg to see if it provides any clues.
dmesg | less
PageUp, PageDn, Home, End, up arrow, and down arrow will allow you to navigate the output. Enter
q to quit.
-
what is dmesg?
-
Hi Dikshant
dmesg outputs the log file that the kernel prints messages to. Open a terminal and enter:
dmesg | less
-
..and you can also use [control]panel -> stats -> dmesg to see the entire output
-
It shows that zsnes has detected the joystick, but,it still fails to configure directional keys.Directional keys are working in windows. Is there any other emulator other than Zsnes and snes 9x to rum smc format games in tiny core linux?
-
Could you paste the relevant dmesg output for your gamepad here.
I've never used it, but I suspect zsnes has a configuration/setup to choose the applicable gamepad - is there one? Have you tried it?
Have you had a look at:
http://zsnes-docs.sourceforge.net/html/gui.htm#config_input (http://zsnes-docs.sourceforge.net/html/gui.htm#config_input)

:D :D ZSNES finally detected my joy sticks.Thank you guys.

Hi Dikshant
Maybe you could share what you did so that others may benefit from your experience.

I have a card reader..
a) when it is connected via USB (in a multiusb connected to a USB PCI card) and I put the SD card inside the card reader, the card is not recognized
b) when the SD card is inside the card reader, and I connect this usb card reader into the multiusb connected to the USB PCI card, the card is recognized
Perhaps it is a similar issue? So, make b) (= dont plug the card only but the card already in the card reader).
Just an idea.. dont know..
