Title: How do you get xfce working?
Post by: Guy on December 06, 2011, 07:34:32 AM
I have just installed xfce4 using the appbrowser, and added desktop=xfce4 to the bootloader, in Tinycore 4.1.

I get a different cursor, and no menu.

How do I get xfce4 working properly with a menu?

Installed Xfce4 with AppBrowser on clean TC 4.1, it works fine.

BTW, no need for desktop bootcode if you are not mixing up with othe DE's.

So it is not an Xfce4 bug.

Sorry

I made a mistake when setting it up. - Trying to do it in a hurry.

It does work.

Any tips - I have not used xfce in Tinycore before.

For example, what do you do with wbar?

Decide wether you like it not. If not, use noicons boot code, it will disable wbar.

I have noticed, if you right click on it it disappears, which could happen by accident. I would prefer it that did not happen.

I get the tinycore background around wbar, also in the terminal. What do you do about that?
