Title: JWM Rounded Corners

According to the JWM website, the current version (2.1.0) incorporated the rounded corners that had previously been available using JWM-Snapshot.  On my test-rig they are squared-off at 90 degrees.

Has anyone got the rounded corners working using standard JWM v2.1.0?

If those pesky pointy corners are sticking you fingers, you should be wearing gloves.  ;D

They were disabled in jwm.tcz config, if that's what you mean?

They add a dep, so IMHO jwm.tcz should stay light; if an updated jwm-snapshot is needed, someone interested could do that. Or ping N. Carigon, if he's still around.

Ah, that explains the behaviour. 


An alternative for consideration and  discussion...

Previous Position (pre v2.1.0)

• In the TC repo, JWM (Snapshot) provided access to developing functionality not available in another form such as  the standard app published by Joe Wingbermuelhe
• JWM (standard) was a choice in the TC repo

Current Position (post v2.1.0)

• JWM (Snapshot) is available but remains at the older (pre v2.1.0) version
• JWM (standard) is not avaialble in the TC repo
• JWM (minimal) is available in the TC repo; i.e. JWM (standard) with functionality disabled

Proposed Position (post v2.1.0)

• JWM (Snapshot) remains available at the older (pre v2.1.0) version
  As suggeted this may be updated by anyone wishing to obtain funtions not available in the standard release
• JWM (standard) be added to the TC repo
  This is to be the standard app published by Joe Wingbermuelhe.  It incorporates the work previously developed in the snapshot version
• JWM (minimal) be added to the TC repo
  This is to be the standard verion with extraneous functionality removed, i.e. the current offering renamed.

Benefits

• Partity is maintained between versions
• The decision of the value of increased functionality becomes a user choice
• Users requiring a traditional window manager presentation in the most minimalistic form are catered for
• Conformity with the Core ethos

I would prefer the light/as-in-TC-when-it-was-in-base stay as is, and the other could be named jwm-full, for example.

But naming is not a big problem, please submit a jwm extension configured as you prefer.

With long term sustainability in mind, submission of such an extension is probably best suited to an experienced extension maintainer, particularly as JWM is a supported window manager of the Tiny Core project.
