Title: Installing extensions on PC without ethernet
Post by: anta40 on November 10, 2011, 09:57:59 PM
I have an old PC I'd like to revive. The problem is the PC doesn't have ethernet card. So is is possible to install extensions offline? Maybe buy grabbing the extension and its dependencies on another PC, and then copy it to TC?

There are scripts posted here in the fora to do that.
If the PC boots USB, it might be easiest to install to a USB flash,
boot it on another machine with ethernet, and install your extensions.

See this page

After copying apps, .dep files, dependencies, and dependencies of dependencies. Using Apps Audit, put applications in OnBoot or OnDemand.

Another option is to put the hard drive in another computer, install everything, then put it back in the computer without an ethernet card.

Install TC on USB stick, download extensions with AppBrowser to the stick on a machine connected to Internet. It is more easy to move  USB stick content to target machine :)
