Title: glibc 2.4
Post by: neorej on April 16, 2009, 03:30:18 AM
Hi,

I am trying to get a application to run with tiny core.
But it needs glib 2.4
is there a guide some where to get it in tiny?
or does someone has the package to add it?

any help would be great!

Perhaps a candidate for FAQ, since every new user asks the same question about why the core libs are outdated.

I've managed to compile glibc-2.4.1
But after some research it was not the error.
My libidn.11.so was calling for glibc2.4
libdin.11.so is not find in the tce extensions.
So i copied it from my other working system. But it gives a floating-point error.
So some how i must make a libidn.so.11 matching tiny.

any idea's?

Edit:

found the package to compile the libidn's.
but when compiling is done, there is still a Floating Point exception.

Patience. Tiny Core is not static. Many updates are in the works.
We are volunteers, not paid employees. We are free; not commercial.
For some we go too fast. For others never fast enough.

glibc version minor than 2.4 is an issue for me too. However I agree with you about volonteer not paid work. Thanks for your efforts.
