Title: Cant configure virtual network cards in TinyCore
Post by: HarriTCL on October 29, 2011, 03:19:11 AM
Hello

newb to tinycore here. I'm trying to setup a webfilter+firewall running on tinycore in a virtual machine. if i set the virtual NIC to NAT (vmware) tinycore detects it fine and sets up networking. but for my purposes i need 2 NICs - one Host Only (static) and the other Bridged (dhcp'd). tinycore doesnt setup the bridged NIC, which is the one that connects to the Internet.

How do I do this in tinycore? I'm used using/editing files and scripts like /etc/init.d/networking and /etc/network/interfaces. These dont seem to exist in tinycore.

Any help much appreciated!

Tiny core a tool set, not a distribution.
Do your ethernet configuration in /opt/bootsync.sh.
