Title: AppsAudit dependency hiccup (TC 4.0.2) -- SOLVED
Post by: philip on October 14, 2011, 08:02:23 PM
Happy TC user here, with a quick report leading to a suggestion.

I just used the AppsAudit tool to update flwm.tcz. After rebooting, flwm failed to start. Trying to reload it with AppBrowser triggered diagnostic messages concerning a missing dependency, Xprogs.tcz. So I added that and tried again. All is well; still a happy TC 4.0.2 user.

I'm guessing that the dependency of flwm.tcz on Xprogs.tcz is a change from the original setup of flwm.tcz (since Xprogs.tcz is new for 4.x). Should the AppsAudit updating tool be modified so that whenever it decides to update an extension, it checks for dependencies as well?

EDIT 2011-10-17 - adding "Solved" to subject

Look in "Dependencies" menu in AppsAudit.

It was in error. Xprogs.tcz removed as dependency as flwm.tcz is a valid extension for TinyCore and TinyCore does not need Xprogs.tcz.

Thank you both. Editing to put "SOLVED" in thread title.
