Using Firefox 6.0.2, when I try and bookmark a page the bookmark dialog does not come up.
Anyone else notice this strange behavior?
Anyone seeing the bookmarks dialog with Firefox 6.0.2?
Using TC 4.0, Xorg, JWM
-
It is working fine here, with firefox.tcz version 6.0.2.

Traced the problem to Xorg-7.4. When I booted without Xorg-7.4, firefox bookmarks dialog worked.
Tried Xorg-7.5...firefox bookmarks dialog worked....
For some reason, in TC v4...using Xorg-7.4 caused problems for me on two different computers with different video cards??

Xorg 7.4 is about 3 years old software. Is there any reason to use it instead of 7.5 (or preferably 7.6 when on 4.x)?
-
Personally I do not see any reason to use 7.4 On my machines 7.6 works fine so even 7.5 is no used. Is there anything missing in 7.6 compared to 7.5?
-
No, all three builds should be full-featured. 7.6 has some issues with Intel 3d though.

Means keep 7.5 and drop 7.4
-
As long as they all work, I don't see why 7.4 should be dropped - there just may be some old device with drivers only for that version, etc.

I went back and tried Tc version 3.8.4, Xorg-7.4 and Firefox 6.0.2....and did not see the problems I saw using Tc version 4.0. For me at least...it seems Tc version 4.0 and Xorg-7.4 have an issue.. For what it's worth, a custom financial program I run, also had display problems with Tc version 4.0 and Xorg-7.4 that did not occur when using Xorg-7.5.
