Title: Opera won't go into secure https site
Post by: grandma on September 20, 2011, 02:05:22 PM
Not sure why - but try a login at

https/webmail.secureserver.net

using Opera.

If you don't have an email account and password (godaddy email server) - I can give you an account to use to test with.

I get an Opera "bounce" with unsecure server message - not sure if this is https related.

This URL is redirected to email.secureserver.net which is a suscipious configuration and blocked by the browser.

I would think (though I don't run browser certs/rules) - that a domain.com - is valid, whether you are going to

subdomain1.domain.com - or subdomain2.domain.com - and a web publisher would have every right to move you from one to another "freely".

I understand frames and some parent doms can't reach "across domains" - but subdomains? unsafe? questionable?

Sounds like another set of "laws/rules" we don't need.

The question becomes "Do you have to turn off Opera security to get it to work right?"
