hello , i am using alsaplayer to play mp3 files but when i play any file i cant hear anything (no output from speakers)
what can be the problem ?

You need to install either ALSA or OSS sound package. Try alsaconf.tcz.

i installed alsaconf.tcz and loaded it to configure card it detected card and said you are ready to use sound card
then i tried alsaplayer but again no sound
speaker-test said no soung card
what is this problem please help!!

i think i was missing alsa-drivers
after installing that it worked
