Changing the position in Wbar conf doesn't work. I'm running mc 3.8.4 with Xorg-7.5.

Putting out such a statement is pointless as I reckon probably none of the "usual suspects" who provides help here will be able to just guess what your intentions were, what you've done (so that it can be reproduced by someone else) and what you've observed. Without such (pretty obvious) input how can you expect any meaningful response.
And not for the first time I feel compelled to suggest that you might want to read How To Ask Questions The Smart Way (http://catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html).

Ok, sorry. I was just plain lazy.
Here's some more info:
Changing the position in Wbar conf does nothing. When I press apply Wbar conf is closed down. When restarting Wbar conf the position is back to bottom. Since the last post I've noticed the same behavior for the other wbar conf settings as well. Note that this is the first time I've tried Wbar conf.

I just tried - changing the position to top, bottom, left and right all worked fine with the panel "Wbar Conf" tool.
Maybe you could kill wbar and start from a terminal window with something like: $ wbar -bpress -pos top -zoomf 2 -isize 32 &
..and see if you get any error messages?

I personally run microcore and Xorg. My wbar is right side centered. So obviously I cannot reproduce reported problem.
I would also suggest to be sure that your microcore system is current. AppsAudt - Updates - Check for Updates.

I've solved it. Running wbarconf from terminal I got "Can't open .wbar for output.". So I renamed my .wbar and now it works.
Sorry for taking your time.
