Title: Slow display - a newbie question
Post by: szymon on April 12, 2009, 06:42:30 PM
Hello!
I'm new to Linux, but I managed to install TCL in PPI/TCE mode, and switched screen resolution to my monitor native 1600x1200.
And I've got a problem now - I can see the screen being drawn... Display reshresh is so slow, I can't scroll web pages.
Is there any way to fix it? Shall I install a special driver? My graphics card is ATI Mobility Fire.

Thanx!
Szymon

Are you using Xvesa?  You could try using Xorg (or maybe one of those specialized TinyX servers)
