Title: titlebar disapeared on firefox
Post by: feddozz on August 15, 2011, 07:50:17 AM
Hi all,

As per title, mi firefox titlebar disappeared after using F11 (full screen mode). Now regardless how many times I press f11, reboot, reinstall firefox the title bar does not appear.
Also, full screen mode has resize and close buttons which do not work any more.

I found posts from 2009 on the topic but no solution was proposed. Is there a solution now?

Thanks

If reinstalling did not work, that is possibly because there is a config file left behind which gets read even when reinstalling, since most times existing configs are retained. So look eg in ~/.config for a firefox file and either edit it or delete it.

same issue as mine?; my solution was "jur" proposal, see  http://forum.tinycorelinux.net/index.php/topic,9844.0.html
= delete the .mozilla file in the persistent home

Hi:
I had the "title bar problem" too and fixed it according to you info here.
You loose your bookmarks.

Now this - I experienced the same problem with m leafpad editor. It gut stuck between the top and the bottom of the screen. No way to change the size any more.  Even rebooting did not help. Then I found a  /.config folder in tc and inside that folder was a leafpad related tile. I just deleted it and had a fresh leafpad.  Keep in mind - just in case

If by disappear you mean the title bar is off the top of the screen, try hitting   Alt Ctrl M  a couple of
times if it happens again.
