Where`s the Integrated File Browser I saw in the TC info?
-
Hi SunBurnt
Are you talking about Fluff? That was removed.
-
What does the TC apps. offer? I don`t know any of the names they`re given.
Something like Win. Explorer would be nice, but most clones I`ve seen are buggy.
-
I like xfe.
You can install it using the app browser.
There are also others.

Thanks again Guy; I`ll try it.
I tried the xfce WM a few years ago and rather liked it.
Once I`ve got TC figured out mostly I think I`ll give it a try.
Xfe looks good. I think I tried it about 5 years ago. Terry

Hi SunBurnt
Fluff Nice GUI, tree in the left panel, files in the right, view and edit buttons to look at files
Thunar Similar to fluff, requires xfce window manager, I run this on my Debian system
MC (Midnight Commander) If you want something more hardcore, my personal favorite, it can traverse
into zip, bz, bz2, and other archives. Look inside executables in hex or ascii. View HTML files if
you install the lynx extension (text only). Choice of directories in both panels, directory in one
panel and file information in the other, or single wide panel. Plus a lot of features I don't use.
emelfm and emelfm2 Don't know anything about these two.
There are a many more and I'm sure some of the other members will mention their favorites.

I just installed Fluff, nice, light, and simple. I like it and Xfe.
It doesn`t seem show small icons in the file panel ( my usual view ).
I`m surprised it was removed from TC, it works well and is only 64kb!

There is a new one available, which is even smaller - DirWin.

Looked at it and it looks good, but it`s BetaWare...
I think I`ll wait until it`s more proven, to much to loose.
