Title: HDA-analyzer
Post by: andrewb on August 06, 2011, 09:54:47 AM
I'm trying to sort out audio problems on an EEEPC 900AX . It has the Realtek ALC259.

I wanted to try HDA-analyzer, but get an error:

Quote
No HDA codecs were found or insufficient priviledges for
/dev/snd/controlC* and /dev/snd/hwdepC*D* device files.

There are no hwdepC*D* files in /dev/snd.

I have tried stock alsa & configuration with alsaconfig. Also tried various "snd_hda_intel model=" options

snd_hwdep doesn't seem to get loaded when the alsa extension is loaded, or what alsasound is run.

TC version = tc3.7.1

Should the version of alsa in TC generate the hwdepC*D* files?
