Title: qbitorrent closes unexpectedly

...when downloading a file with many seeds; download rate climbs to 150 seeds, then suddenly closes.

Sounds like a bug in the app, please report upstream.

Another problem with this package is that you can not start in non-localized in English.

Probably the author has removed the locales and didn't check if this would work in this way

@vinnie did you try changing ui language from application options ? :)

also updates incoming for both libtorrent-rasterbar and qbittorrent

The application does not start, the options are not accessible.
I hypotize the problem is of local because return of this error when I run qbittorrent:

tc@box:~$ qbittorrent
terminate called after throwing an instance of 'std::runtime_error'
  what():  locale::facet::_S_create_c_locale name not valid
