Yes

I mean to say, with computers these days, Android slates are very useful. You can simply dial right into a free Linux Ubuntu desktop computer in the cloud. These are persistant computers with 30 thousand free tools at your fingertips.

amazon web services.

You can also use dial into a windows 7 cloud computers. Same idea.http://www.desktone.com/

Or indeed, you can just install Linux to the slate. (dual booting)

i think the Rasberry Pi is correctly price pointed now.Because these days, people are
able to get computers for free. I-phones and ipads just get directly into powerful
web based computers.

To me it makes sense that many people would want to use the cloud rather than go through the hassle of setting up a PC and all the software themselves. But on other forums I've seen resistance to the very idea of cloud computing. Lots of worries about security, and a sort of mystique about "controlling your own computing" etc.

yes

i agree. People are wary of things. There must be a reason for it.

I have been using cloud machines for a while and they are fine. It is
a free way to get a reasonable computer and not have to maintain it.
It is also extra power for free. You can have several CC's going at the
same time and flick between them from your local desktop
