If you look in the scripting section of this forum, there is a script to download skype and create an extension out of it - the license prevents posting an extension in the repo.

Perhaps there needs to be dummy entries in the repository with the above information, a link to the script, or a separate list kept somewhere of packages which can be installed this way.
