I made the mistake of opening OO from the menu and then working laboriously on a spreadsheet that had been copied over from a backup file. Even with rw privileges, I couldn't save it without chowning to 1001.50. The error message was about not being able to find the doc that hadn't been created yet (save as). (Please don't ask me why I needed to reinstall my backup copy (hint: I thought I was in my chroot terminal
