It would be good if you could confirm what hardware you are trying to use and what exactly the problem is - there is a good chance this could be fixed with Xorg-7.5

I had an issue with "links" and Xorg7.5.. but not with Xorg7.4.
Post here the content of /var/log/Xorg..log, your configuration Xorg.conf, your hardware list (graphic card name+version, screen name + version, keyboard type, board name + version by reading carefully the whole part marking).
