Other architectures
« on: March 27, 2009, 03:38:26 AM »
Hi all,

The TC concepts fit really well in a number of embedded projects I've got coming up, though none of them are set to use x86 architectures.

I'm happy to devote the time and effort to do the porting, compilation, long-term maintenance etc as well as having access to appropriate hosting if needed.

In the first instance I'm just looking for pointers to source for things like tcz-symlinker and the other TCB binaries (I can't seem them in releases/src/ am I blind?).  Does anyone with a more intimate knowledge of the TC system forsee any possible road blocks?

Many thanks,
-S.

I've thought about that too. Tiny Core would be great on ARM. I am not sufficiently familiar with it, but I think that using T2 http://www.t2-project.org/to build TC would be a step in the right direction.

T2 or buildroot or similar would help streamline such a process for sure.  Most of the TC internals are scripted which of course won't require too much effort to port but there are a few things to which are compiled and to which I can't immediately find the source, eg tcz-symlinker etc.

It, tcz-symlinker, is posted now.

Sometimes, we forget to move stuff to the public area. Thanks for the heads up.
