64 bit microcore
« on: April 04, 2011, 01:40:33 PM »
I had read in another post that you could simply replace the microcore.gz and the bzImage with the 64 bit versions of these.  I was assuming that I could use ISO Master to modify the iso for microcore.iso, but when booting I get the error that it cannot find /boot/bzImage.  My new ISO has the bzImage64 renamed as bzImage and is in the boot directory of the ISO.  I am assuming that modifying the ISO, as I did, is not correct.  If not, what is the proper method for doing this?  It would be nice to be able to customize the ISO directly using an ISO editor like ISO Master for changing to 64 bit or adding a tce directory to customize the microcore ISO.

Thanks

The Remastering page in the wiki should give you the commands to extract and build a new iso successfully.
