Scatter install, problem with dependencies
« on: March 25, 2011, 09:33:08 AM »
Hello, I know scattered install is  not supported but maybe someone use it and came into the same problem like me.

I installed opera and xmms , everithing is working fine untill I reboot the machnine.

Then when I boot tiny againg xmm wont start because missing libs, opera too.

Then another reboot, opera works, xmms still doesnt work.

When I search for missing libs they are present.

Certain dependencies need to be loaded before others.

With the conventional install, the .dep files take care of this.

With scatter install, some apps don't work because things are not loaded in the correct order.
Many people see what is. Some people see what can be, and make a difference.

When using scatter mode be sure to check if you have copy2fs.flg set.

...which explains why your apps don't work.
