IIRC, the mentioned snd-pcm-oss and snd-mixer-oss are alsa oss emulation modules, not modules of OSS.

yep, my fault... I just checked the "real" OSS extension and found that the script would have ignored them just like you pointed out! never had to use OSS at all, although I like sound very much. strange :D should be fixed now with latest update!
