X-CD-Roast
« on: January 12, 2011, 06:05:53 AM »
Just tried (unsuccessfully) to set up this app from the TC3 repo.
sudo xcdroast
Code: [Select]
** (xcdroast:10051): WARNING **: Invalid cdda2wav version -unknown- found.
        Expecting at least version 2.01
Start xcdroast with the -n option to override (not recommended!)
Using -n also fails.

On the website are some recent patches including one to resolve this problem.
http://www.xcdroast.org/xcdr098/patches/

Request a patched version be added to the repo.

I have no preference other than obtaining the most appropriate resolution.

Part of the error message indicates "Expecting at least version 2.01" (of cdda2wav).

cdda2wav -version
Code: [Select]
cdda2wav 3.00 (i686-pc-linux-gnu) Copyright (C) 1993-2004 Heiko Eißfeldt (C) 2004-2010 Jörg Schilling...

The patch on the X-CD-Roast site is dated 11-Jan-2010.

Maybe it is an opportunity to update both.

All current Xcdroast patches against the current alpha16 version applied, as well as now both gtk1 and gtk2 versions  available that can be installed alongside each other with no file conflicts.

Thanks for updating.

Feedback
Using AppBrowser both the 'Depends' and 'Size' tabs provide no information.

Additional feedback

Missing dependency xcdroast-gtk1.tcz
Code: [Select]
sudo xcdroast-gtk1
xcdroast-gtk1: error while loading shared libraries: libgdk_pixbuf.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Is it missing gdk-pixbuf.tcz?
