Cups - All jobs is held
« on: January 10, 2011, 10:03:50 AM »
Hi!

Installed the latest cups.tcz since cups1311.tcz started giving me foomatic-rip failed. Now all jobs get indefinitely held and, even when I manually release them, nothing is printed. I use the HP Laserjet pcl4/5 filter that comes with cups. Please help.

regards
Uggla

are you using a usb connection? If so, perhaps you need to blacklist the usblp module.

What does this give:
Code: [Select]
$ /usr/local/lib/cups/backend/usb

My printer is connected through parallell port to a printer server and accessed over ethernet. There has never been any problems with other distros, and until recently cups1311 worked fine.

libieee1284 was not loaded. With it loaded the cups web configuration looks different (other colors) but all jobs are still held.

Is there anything interesting in the cups error log when the log level is set to debug?
