Copy xorg.conf.vesa to xorg.conf.
Then edit xorg.conf.
Don't forget to ext/X11/xorg.conf to /opt/.filetool.lst.

I have a laptop running 1400x1050x32. It is a dell inspirion 5000. I run Xfbdev with vga=836 as a boot option.
