actually, its probably a good idea to create a separate libvdpau extension. that would require a rebuild of the nvidia drivers too since libvdpau is bundled with that package, but would allow ffmpeg to use libvdpau without needing to load the whole nvidia extension.

nvidia drivers extensions contain files which are all official build of nvidia, except kernel interface layer object is compiled and linked with a precompiled object by nvidia

I created the libvdpau extension and submitted it. It will not conflict with the libvdpau in nvidia-glx.

If anyone wants to update ffmpeg extension it's ok for me. I'm not using this program so I'm not so interested in mantaing it anymore
