I cannot find a stand-alone GUI utility to rename files in bulk or batches in the repo.  This one looks good, is currently maintained and by all accounts very easy to use.  It appears to be similar to Windows based rename apps.  Licence is GPL version 3.

Request it is added to TC.

Very practical for batch jobs. (Had used it for years...)
