oss.tczm dmesg
« on: March 20, 2009, 09:23:54 AM »
looking at dmesg I see this, I don't know if this is normal,
lspci "says" this:
00:0c.0 Multimedia audio controller: Ensoniq ES1371 [AudioPCI-97] (rev 06)

dmesg:
ACPI: PCI Interrupt 0000:00:0c.0[A] -> Link [LNKB] -> GSI 10 (level, low) -> IRQ 10
sys_init_module: 'apci97'->init suspiciously returned 1, it should follow 0/-E convention
sys_init_module: loading module anyway...
Pid: 3857, comm: modprobe Not tainted 2.6.26-tinycore #1

I get the same message on "sudo soundon" with this variant:
Code: [Select]
00:13.0 Multimedia audio controller: Ensoniq ES1370 [AudioPCI] (rev 01)..and everything seems to work.

I believe you get the acpi message each time you enable a device that can be put to sleep to conserve power.
