No bootprompt?
« on: September 26, 2010, 03:17:30 PM »
Is it possible to activate the bootprompt.
My tinycore boots right in GUI, and I need to get it in another resolution, since I now cannot view the whole desktop. XVesa setup doesn't do the job.

Thanks for Tinycore!!!

Just do CTRL_ALT_BACKSPACE to exit X.
run xsetup.sh and restart X with startx.
Then do a backup.

Thanks! I now have a normal, use-full screen,
but still no bootscreen. Strange. ( I did an install from netbooted tinycore to USB-stick).

Ctrl+Alt+F1/2

If not, check boot parameters, there is one to initiate more VTs at boot.

If you are running GRUB, you need to edit the timeout value in boot/grub/menu.lst on your boot drive.
Other boot loaders have a similar settings in their config files.
