« on: March 10, 2009, 01:55:52 PM »
In the last DistroWatch Weekly, TC is a new distribution added to database.

You can see the notice:
http://distrowatch.com/weekly.php?issue=20090309#new

and the page with TC information:
http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=tinycore

Nice :D

Why is it named "Nova" in the table on this page?

my guess is because someone was thinking of this: http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=Nova

other pages display the name of the distro there... nova is nova, finnix is finnix... tinycore would be tinycore.

I would change the description just slightly.
Quote
Tiny Core Linux is a very small (10 MB) minimal Linux desktop. It is based on Linux 2.6 kernel, BusyBox, Tiny X, FLTK graphical user interface and JWM window manager, running entirely in memory. It is not a complete desktop, nor is all hardware completely supported; it represents only the core needed to boot into a very minimal X Window desktop, typically with wired Internet access. This minimal desktop can be extended by installing additional applications from online repositories [or easily  compile most anything you desire].

The 7 day page hit ranking at DW shows TC at #9  , and has gone up from 904 to 1041 in just the last few hours.

Pretty respectable for a Week 1 showing..   Nice work Team TC

For the "journaling fs" column ext3 could be added, it's completely supported in the base
