Hi!
Is there a key shortcut that brings Wbar to the front (instead of having to change desktop or close/move all overlapping windows)?

The closest - indirectly - would be the showdesktop feature in wm's which support it. Also you could always leave one desktop free, in order to be able to access wbar at any time by switching desktop
