request to enable LGUEST
« on: August 23, 2010, 08:26:05 PM »
LGUEST is an extermely low-overhead virtualization system we use at Sandia. How low-overhead? Well, on a ZT systems i7 box with 12 GB memory, we can boot 1200 Lguest VMs.

I can build kernels with lguest in them and install them but it's a bit painful ... could I throw myself on the mercy of the court here and ask for lguest modules to be enabled in the standard build?

Many thanks

ron

Only the guest support or host too?

Host can be built as a module, so you could submit an extension for it for the current kernel, though.

The only barriers that can stop you are the ones you create yourself.
