Level Of Difficulty(Newbie)

How hard would the following be:

I wish to create a version of Tiny Core Linux that will have only FL Studio(Win Xp Executable), Jack, and Wine(WineAsio) installed(Maybe Firefox),with possibly Fluxbox as the window manager.


p.s. I have a little bit of terminal/Command line experience, so I'm not afraid to use it.

P.S.S Also would it be difficult to implement the real-time kernel.

I will have a look at those today, however I have a problem that's preventing me from starting. I have downloaded the ISO and when I reboot my laptop, it starts to load, a strange "PCI:Address space occupied" error shows, disappears and then the X Window shows with just the x cursor and then freezes.

I'm at work at the moment and I will try burning another CD, but perhaps someone can shed some light on this for me.

What would cause the live CD to freeze at the start of the X Window?

At the boot prompt you could try "text" so that things stop before it starts the x window.

If this works, it would allow you to try some more troubleshooting from the command line

Once you're at it, an additional boot param of "syslog" couldn't harm for troubleshooting
(creates log under /var/log/messages)

Just incase... This is a hard driveless laptop with a usb drive connected that isnt recognized by the motherboard as bootable, or at least as far as my bios scavenging detrmined

Not recognized by BIOS vs. not recognized by motherboard are totally different things.
