[wine] keyboard typing does not reach wine apps

Hello,
I am running some programs with wine (reaper, samplelord).
When these want some keyboard input, I type on the keyboard but the input goes to the terminal from which the application was launched, not the application itself.
How to send keyboard input to wine applications?

I found something:
-possible conflicts with gxneur, kxneur and SCIM;
-possibly solving use of -window command line parameter;
-XMODIFIERS='' wine myapp.exe

Does any of them make sense?
